I put it on a candle and was definitely doubtful that it would do anything—the outside rim was super thin and the candle was already on a highish shelf where i didnt there werent any drafts

The candle doesnt pool in the middle—it burns evenly all the way across—and there havent been any soot emissions

However its still not wide enough in diameter to fit on the yankee pillar candles

They really improve the candle burn the flame is steadier and less smoky and the wax more easily melts all the way to the edges for a clean burn
