Pros

Kd frames also has this same frame without a headboard if you just prefer the platform! It has plenty of slats to support the mattress. On the ends of the slats of the headboard for instance.

The wood is just pine, but the variations are stunning and it’s a timeless frame style. The only real complaint i have is that i wish the wood had been sanded just a bit more/better. It's also the perfect material to stain if you’d prefer.

Handel's water music suite in the background was great,too! The instructions are very clear and the beds seem to be very sturdy. Everything came packaged in a long box probably 5 or 6ft long. Nothing was missing or damaged in freight shipping.

Untreated tulip poplar wood, sourced in the us. It ain't walnut, but it's pretty ok.

Set up is crazy easy. Easiest bed ever. You could use a drill to put it all together, but honestly a hand-held screwdriver was more than sufficient for me.

Cons

Bed has no glue or any means to fix the wood slats to the frame. Wood slats are put into some dent and just float around. Ends of boards are rough, not smooth finish, black discoloration and nearly a bleached appearance.

Packaging/appearance

We put a coating on the wood and they were easy to assemble

Was expecting a cheap buildabed but all solid wood and cut precisely

There were a few moderate size dents caused by the strapping on the packaging

Really those steps should be included in the instructions particularly the glue

Competitiveness

Much sturdier than our 900 bed frame at a fraction of the cost

I love that its real wood and made in the usa for a good price

But can you believe just a couple were made in the usa

To illustrate im over 300lbs and my puppy adds another 30lbs and the structure doesnt make a sound while were on it
