I could open about half with my fingers and the other half i had to use a set of pliers in each hand to pop them apart before spreading them open it seems the chrome coating is actually sticking on them

Some of these were real easy to open some a little hard to open and so far 1 has broken when i opened it

Be very careful when opening rings slight twisting movement off of the horizontal axis damages the connecting joint and the ring will not lock in place when closing
