Not sharp or even sturdy. At least they are sturdy. If you push down too hard, they press into the skin between your fingers and can be quite uncomfortable.

I bought them for a white elephant gift exchange and wish i had bought a second pair for myself when they showed up

Only suggestion i would make is to keep the kids away when playing with these i found it very hard to not swing my hands around like wolverine and accidentally hurt one of my kids though they’ve learned a valuable lesson never mess with
