It's a great mma workout. It definitely help with you punching and accuracy. If you don't have a punching bag this is a good way to practice your punches.
For those who live in apartments, this is perfect because it does not require any mounting. This is another item i like, hanging from my ceiling fan.

The one thing i really dont like about this particular product is the lousy plastic velcro headband

You can also just use a baseball cap turned backwards and loop the string around the adjustable strap on the hat

As for the different balls and strings i thought the beginner and number 2 balls were the same and it turns out there pretty much are
