Pros

Champions of the force is the third book in the jedi academy trilogy. The saga of kyp durron is easily the most compelling of all the story lines. This conclusion to the trilogy satisfactorily moves the saga ahead, rebuilding the jedi and moving the c...  Read More

Luke, for one, lies near death in a battle with the spirit of dark jedi exar kun. Favorite part is a light saber wielding jacen * * to protect luke's body. In the second book, luke skywalker becomes suspended beetween life and death.

This last installment in kevin j. Sevenunderpar@comcast. Kevin j anderson ties it in smoothly.

The jedi apprentices all use their jediabilities together to defeat exar kun. During this time periods, it just seems like everyone needed rescuing and the whole republic just gives them whatever resources they need to get them.

Cons

All he's missing are the lightning bolts.

Mt-ats are nothing compared to ackbaar's * traps. Absolutely edge-of-you-seat, gripping, climatic, and altogether totally not.

It reads more like a mediocre fan fiction than a professionally written and edited novel. It is a ridiculous attempt to try to soak a multi-book deal out of a publisher.

Useless characters and plot lines abound. The writing style is plodding and mechanical. The dialogue is cheesy, overly formal, and non-believable.

The jedi kids are actually cute at this point and in this particular book there isnt so much banter about their stupid adventures in the depths of coruscant

My only complaint about this volume in the trilogy is that the end of the book drags a bit luke has already come out of his coma exar kun is beaten and then there is still that death star prototype with a couple of bureaucrats
