In my use this strainerfilter never clogged and it strained anything that flowed through my coolant system from iron pieces chipsflakes to even a small piece of a paper gasket that was flying around my system from godknowswhen

All i have to do is loosen one hose clamp slide upper radiator hose away from filter and unscrew the hose coupling housing out from the pyrextype glass tube
