    In my use, this strainer/filter never clogged and it did strain anything that flowed through my coolant system, from iron particles (chips/flakes) even to a smaller piece of a paper gasket the was floating around my system from god-knows-when.

    The surprise to me was how many times i performed this task over the next several months (after i installation) until the particulates stopped showing-up in the cylindrical-shaped screen.

    Very impressed with its quality (i’ve kept the original splice i cut-out from my upper radiator hose to install this unit behind my front seat just in case the glass-tube broke, or the unit started to leak on some road trip i took.
