    We then also picked up a 60w shorter medium based led bulb so it would still fit behind the garage door openers bulb cover.

    Now when we open the garage door the lasers come on with the door opener light bulb and then go off when then bulb goes off in the opener.

    I ordered the universal (with power outlet) but installed directly to liftmaster opener just as described for a chamberlain model.

    When installed directly to the opener, it works by detecting the senor at the base of the door being tripped and emitting a pulsing laser that can be seen on the dash on the car being parked.

    If you have an enclosed garage i can't imagine enough light coming through a window or open door that would prevent the laser from being seen.
