I tried a set of tevas and these chacos i didnt really like the teva sandals as they seemed less rugged and thought that the chocos were ok but they rubbed my pinky toes

I powered through the week opting out of wearing them one of the days there and upon returning home decided i wouldnt be wearing them

It was much later that i learned from a coworker that you can simply pull the straps out slightly on each toe i am not sure why i didnt research this sooner
