The fit hasn't changed since i bought my first pair 13 years ago - it's wider in the toes, though not super wide, and holds my narrower heel reasonably snug. My only complaint is the leftover strap end hangs and drags like a tail behind my foot.

Cons
Stitched end of ankle pull-strap makes it impossible to cut it after adjusting. The toe strap constantly tightens as you walk and slowly strangles your toe.

The arch is too high and the straps tighten as i walk so they end up too tight and have to be constantly adjusted

Comfortable and rugged shoes but a fair amount of my exploring in them was done in the coastal pnw and they eventually picked up so much sand inside the sole from walking on beaches and in tide pools and the sandy trails etc

And from making strap adjustments that the straps were permanently stuck and trying to adjust them tore through the top of the foot bed thus rendering them ruined

There was easily 34 table spoons of sand dried mud and grit inside the sole jamming the straps up

The soles are rugged enough for any terrain or task but the way the straps go through the shoes will eventually be their downfall
