If you use the proper end of this cable to connect to the zamp cable then the red will signify positive and the black negative however if you switch the ends then the polarity is backwards and would result in bad things if you connect to the zamp rv connector

The others that come with the schumacher charger are too small and designed to fit motor cycle battery posts screw diameters which are typically much smaller

With the camper battery aft and the truck battery forward both red leads are always hot but only one is shielded
