As others have stated the tool comes in a sturdy cardboard box not the plastic case shown in the product picture

Not exactly what you see in the picture gauge and metal bar are in a cardboard box with styrofoam insert too bad i did not come with the actual picture container box

Sled is a little too long hits the hpop on the dts

The only downside i see to this unit is that the dial indicator is held in with a set screw to the block so you cant spin it to see the gauge face independently of block
