The hinge opens to the side like a book and its a heavy duty hinge think i would really have to try to break it by bending it the wrong way

The cord however was terrible

One end came untied first so i tied it to the link between charm and cord which worked fine but then the cord started to fall apart in other ways until i finally cut it and tossed it
