Pros & Cons
Pros
Right angle spotting scope is a must. My main viewing area on my yard on a slight incline, so usually the legs are not the same length when i setup. It has an outside pouch that holds the tripod spreader--very handy.
The mount is sturdy and well designed. The unit comes with a 11lb, 5 diameter counter weight. My equipment is as follows for those wanting examples of weight orion 8 astrograph reflector at ~18 lbs.
This new vx mount has rekindled my interest and enthusiasm that bit me in 1990 and now being retired near tucson, az. The ergonomics of this mount are a substantial upgrade. Don't fail to get one.
Initial setup is fairly simple, alignment and calibration work well. Instructions are good, and are written in proper american english; as opposed to british english or something else. Adjusting it to my latitude was easy.
Cons
Do yourself a favor and google things like avx power issues. The manual instructions are woefully inadequate. Trip on that in the dark and it rips the plug out of the mount.

Apparently the cord that connects from the mount to the declination motor is keyed the end with the red tag on it must be plugged into the base

If you hook it up the other way the declination motor spins indefinitely while slewing to an alignment star
