Pros & Cons

Pros

This scope works best for the bright lunar and planetary observing. Viewed jupiter with some banding visible and got sharp views of the gallilean moons. Good for either terrestrial or astronomical use.

The supplied plossel eyepiece is ideal with a comfortably wide apparent field of view, even though the telescope is looking at a restricted bit of the world. If you do decide to buy a bigger telescope for the night sky, the eyepieces work on both. The...  Read More

The 52268 has a *-style dovetail mounting plate with 1/4-20 threaded holes. The dovetail mount is drilled and tapped to fit any standard tripod. Recommended accessories for this wonderful little scope are a celestron zoom eyepiece and a sturdy, high-q...  Read More

The c90's sharpness and clarity are well beyond what i expected for such a small and inexpensive telescope. It is not the sharpest pic in the world but given the c90 was mounted on a cheap camera tripod it is not bad.

The eye piece that came with the scope is a 32mm celebrex plossl. Comes with a 45-degree image-erecting prism.

Cons

Compared to newer (and more expensive) scopes, this one is an outdated clunker. It is a pity that what should be a fine telescope does not come correctly aligned. Very poor eye relief as well.
