It is thinner and more lightweight than the original remote.
Who enjoys having to get up out of bed at night after reading a book before bed? Love it. Highly recommend. Very pleased.

Replacement remote received through amazon is not identical to the original that stopped working. Did not work on my hampton bay fan.

I had recently replaced other fans in the house and she had remarked how she didnt need to clean those blades so i will remain suspicious when it came to this dirty fan and remote

But thanks to amazon somebody had one and within minutes of its arrival i had the back off quick search for aaa batteries not longer 9v and reading the reversed dip switches programmed it to operate the fan

There was no remote for the ceiling fan when we moved into our new house

Our ceiling fan remote is probably close to 18 years old and the buttons were starting to fail but we have no reason to replace the ceiling itself
