The way this device is engineered the mounting plate is secured between the door and the door frame when the door is closed making it near impossible for the mounting plate to work free

I couldnt imagine anyone forcing their way inside without tearing down the door frame with the device locked

The only reason i gave this a four out of five stars for sturdiness is because the rubber bumper on the end of the latch was not fastened and slid up and down in the latch
