I did drill holes in the rod to align with my studs i didnt have confidence in the wooden dowels

I did need to go and purchase longer nut and bolt due to additional thickness of the door

The door i have is extra wide 44 inches by 84 inches

We added a day bed and trundle to the bed and wanted to provide a more soundproof covering for the opening when used as a bedroom
