The cord is long at 15 feet and the plug is thick. With the extra length with this power strip, it now reaches, plus there's room to plug a lamp in.

Waterproof switch appears to be well sealed from the elements. Plugs go into the sockets firmly. All sockets work with no issues.

Waring says that can not be dipped in water. It also says that it is 'water splash proof' in 5core technology features. If you need a waterproof product, it is not what you are looking for.

I got this power strip because i got a new electric fireplace and the wall plug was just about 1 ft too far for the the plug to reach
