If you like forensics and criminology these books are great. Patricia cornwell builds tension with the development of the crime investigation, and couples it with the medical science of the coroner. Whatever, this series fascinates me.

The first half or so is allright - standard fare mystery writing. The second half and especially the ending is so unconvincing and utterly boring. The result is a taught thriller that is marred by flawed research.

There is a branch davidian cult taking over the world, the invasion of a nuclear power plant and then if that's not enough middle eastern terrorists.

This book takes a total and almost laughable nosedive right from the beginning. I do not want to follow you to new york, or anywhere, with your miraculously resurrected true love or your nemesis the werewolf.

She * out these awful trope struggles and then manages to become the most offensive character in them. She is materialistic when she talks about her car as if it's a child.
