Pros

Size and heft are great. Also from a sustainable source and, made in the usa. It is very heavy and i can roll out dough and it doesn’t move at all!

Do not be put off by the comments of splinters. It’s still a good slab of wood. It's thicker than most, absorbing shock from pounding or chopping.

This cutting board is amazing, and i am currently oiling it as instructed. I oil and clean it when it looks like it needs it. Yes, it is an unfinish piece of wood work that needs to be oiled and if you want a quick pass of fine sand paper.

Cons

Instead of a pristine work surface as intended, i have a very expensive cutting board. The board is unfinished and super rough. This drives me nuts.

The splinter/rough situation remains same, not even a little better. This cutting board is 11 lbs very heavy an bulgy for me. In the very beginning of using the board there were little wood fibers sticking up after the first wash.

The only reason i am not returning the board is my husband threw away the box

First this is a well made cutting board made in the usa at half the price of many other boards

Oil it and use itone year lateri originally gave this product 2 stars because it developed a split after a few weeks
