When we got this matt it was rolled up so we unrolled it tried to bend it to flatten it out to the ground and it worked for a little bit

The bad thing is he came along sniffed it and walked away

We gave him a little time he went back to it tried to scratch at it and it just lifted off the ground and he at that point lost complete interest in it

Unfortunately we had to send it back but if you have a cat that is light and does scratch heavily like mine does then this may work for you

We ended up ordering the same board which is made of wood with a systal matting on top that ran us 55 shipped which is why we were dissuaded from getting it again from the beginning and went with this but it just wasnt sturdy enough to work for us
