Ive both vacuumed it and emptied it into the trash bin and both worked well

Just make sure that you dont run a vacuum over it as i did it a few times and it tore

Its a litter mat bonnie doesnt seem to mind it

Its large enough to surround the litter box on all sides and captures litter a lot better than the other mats that we had because they were not large enough to give our kitty space to walk off the litter
