Great quality, holds like it’s bolted down. Carter recommends to use the widest slots possible for stability. My only regret is that i hadn't purchased it years ago.
The only thing you need is a machinist square (that you should already own and by the way) and the simple set screws and nuts and allen wrench that is included with the fence. This fence is also tall enough (4 1/2) that you can use it to re-saw. The f... Read More
Awesome, fits my 12 inch craftsman bandsaw. Price is high, but i like that i didn't have to bolt a frame to my bandsaw table to get a fence. The carter magfence and the carter f-a-s-t fence alignment tool are a great combination as an accessory.
Carter magfence ii is versatile, accurate, and easy to use. Easy to square up with a simple measurement off the miter slot. Great accuracy with a square.
Cons
Non-functional as a fence. That is pretty lousy. Not worth it. Very scary and dangerous.

Solid and well built magnets are strong so no fear of slipping out of place during the cut
Easy to assemble good quality really a big help and cutting on my bandsaw
I thought it was the white plastic extension but after several hour fine tuning the bandsaw the problem still existed
Low and behold i then found the adjustment nuts and bolt on my desktop
Price
Let me tell you money well spent
It is unrealistic that a 100 tool is not square with the bandsaw table out of the box
Also a good value for the money
Price is high but i like that i didn’t have to bolt a frame to my bandsaw table to get a fence
Packaging/appearance
Be aware and check for square before you throw all of the packaging away
Well that and a box end 716 wrench but i digress
Competitiveness
I bought the mag fence and what a difference
He’s a carter spokesman so i wasn’t sure if this would work better than the more invasive kreg bandsaw retrofit fence
Amazon price with shipping was much better than the carter website

The fence wasn’t square to my table but with a minor adjustment with the provided equipment i had it square and sawing in under 5 mins
