This is the second set of magnifiers i have purchased. I love this magnifier, and it's adaptability. Another good survival magnifying lense option is a fresnel lense.

Getting the magnifying glass out of the black case is very fiddly. There's significant chromatic aberration when the lenses are combined. Since i am interested in use in nature, this is not the best option for me.
