Pros & Cons

Pros

Even worn and dirty coins are legible to me. Great for coin inspection for a casual average joe/jane. Perfect for looking at coins or stamps.

Carson lumiloupe 10x stand magnifier #ll-10 is a suitable budget priced replacement for the vintage agfa 8x lupe. This small magnifying loupe is handy for viewing very small items.

Cons

Only the very center, a pretty small portion of the lens, magnifies with clarity. When you place it over a coin the magnification is blurry. If you have any time of vision issue, the fixed lens makes it impossible to see certainly clearly.

The carson loupe is totally worthless. I assume that becouse if it’s shape that i can placed it on a paper and just glide through it. Not good use for a passport at all.

Quality

Decent quality at a more than reasonable price

Really great quality it does what its suppose to do

And note the modern day agfa lupe is not the same optical quality as the vintage model

All 3 were the same high quality view when it came to sharpness

Price

For the price you really cant get much better

The prices pretty on point too not too expensive not too cheap

Competitiveness

Highly recommended dont need more expensive loupes if all youre looking for is 10x magnification for small but not tiny things

So we are in need of a constant supply of high quality budget priced loupes

Before settling on the carson ll10 we tried 14 other budget priced loupes and magnifiers

There is a wide range of budget priced loupes out there and they are all different as to sharpness and field of view
