This is a book about hitchhiking, but the first part (in fact, the bulk of the book) is fiction. Half the book is pure fabrication. What a disappointing book.

In the second part even wilder shenanigans are in store as he imagines the worst that could possibly happen being arrested kidnapped and eventually murdered by a serial killer who is bumping off cult filmmakers
