Pros
They solve an issue of having a basket and kayak or snowboard racks. They also hold up to hauling some lumber and drywall!
Bought to try on 2006 saturn vue. Ordered 52 for jeep cherokee and fit was perfect. With a kayak strapped down, the bars bend but come back straight. Installed these on my jeep renegade. Love how they look on my kia sorento.
Easy installation on my jetta sportwagon. With some spray paint in my case. Easy to install and did not come loose once.
In the process of moving and wanted more space to haul items so got this for above the car carrier. Held my cargo basket for 3k mile trip. Survived a 3000+ mile road trip from fl to wa. All while housing a packed cargo carrier.
Cons
Not great. Find a different retailer. Seems like the only option is o send it back which seems to be a bit wasteful.
Do not buy this if you are planning on lugging anything on it or even try to add a rack. Side rails on my 2020 outback are too wide for the clamp on the cross bars. The whistle and wind noise is awful above 35 mph.
