They did not loosen up over a 1200 mile journey they didnt snap and they didnt fray

Nor can i use the hook to loop the webbing around the rack because the hook angle wont allow it

Overalli cant give this product less than four stars because its so incredibly well constructed and if my roof rack bars werent quite so large it would be perfect

If you are tying down a pallet of stone or something really heavy obviously these are not rated like 2 straps so you wouldnt want to use them for that

Before using you have to dettach them from plastic housing with screw driver and wrench
