Pros
It lasts me 4-5 litter changes for a 590in² hamster cage. Used for my bunnies. But for a litterbox for the rat is works really good. Our little kitten like to dig in the fresh stuff too.
Cons
Bedding is not soft at all, the fluff is not there. The hamster now has mites.

I've used the pellet litter for our rabbits, and although i loved the smell of the wood and found it to be absorbent, that smell quickly became synonymous with the smell of rabbit urine.

It got to the point where i would smell pine and think i smelled urine, even when there was none.

If left too long then the paper can sometimes get so wet that it sticks to the litter pan, but it's easily scrapped off.
