And if course it went flying when i tried to put it on the choke rod to replace the last one which also went flying😂 would have been nice to have 9 more which were supposed to be included

I guess you could just pop the cover off while the car is idling and see if the spring is down

If the spring is down manually hit the gas and if it pops up it should be fine
