The locking flap and rubber gasket for pushing cans through all feel durable. I have never had a spill, mess, dripping or smelled anything i have put in the garbage. It hold alot of my snack foods!

The trash canister itself is pretty sturdy. This is a pink elephant gift for christmas and i'm jealous and want to keep!

Cons

The straps are too small for my center console. The buckle ends up sitting under where the console closes on the side. Overall not too impressed, will probably send it back.
