This is a very practical and useful product
I use this in my boat where i need an extra long mount suction cup works great this is a great product
It can fit my 7 cm phone which is great it seems to stretch even more as well for all the fancy folks with the big expensive phones
To put it together it was fairly easy even if you were to lose the box with the directions you can still put it together

If you have an iphone 6 or iphone6s with otterbox case you will stress the expander clip to its limit for the phone clip and the tablet clip is too wide and the device will fall out without some tweaks to close the small gaps

All in all i wouldnt recommend this for a vehicle with an odd dash configuration like a huge vent top dead center where you are limited by the captains console and placement

I tried in on a regular dashboard hyundai sonata and it worked just fine without being too far out of reach and was comfortable for touch operations on the phone
