I had purchased a different air vent mount here on amazon that did not have the release mechanism that this one has you jammed the prongs into the vent and it was a magnetized mount

In removing my phone from the super strong magnet that you had to put a magnetic pad in your case in order for the phone to stick to the mount and it still would slide around the pressure necessary remove my phone caused my dash to crack

If i try to pull out my charger without taking it out of the holder first the holder will come off of the vent
