Clip jaw is easy to operate as it has many serrations in the upper and lower jaw so it is easy to tilt ones smartphone at several angles towards eye view by means of placing the edges of phone in the upper and lower serrated grooves

Tried on a couple of modern cars and it did not fit anywhere as the plastic on the dashboard is too think

It fitted to my old vans dash just fine but my new vans dash is more curved so it just pops off

Note the plastic clip that goes fixes to the dash will hold the shape width of where it is clipped to so best to get one per car if you own more than one vehicle hence the 4 stars otherwise would have got 5
