Pros
The new lime feels as soothing to my face post-shave as the bay rum. The witch hazel in this makes it really good for calming down any shaving irritation/razor burn if you have it.
The citrus, clove, and spices are the perfect blend for a unique aftershave. The combination of clove and lime provides a wonderful scent that isn't overpowering. It's a deep plunge into lime, hinting at it's sweetness.

Captain's choice is a little less bracing but still nice. I still have them but this goes to the top of the rotation!
Cons
No lime scent even right out of the bottle, only scent is from witch hazel. This should be called witch hazel with a smidge of lime. It has a nice scent but when it only lasts a couple minutes. Not a pleasant smell in my opinion.
As an avid wet shaver i really wanted to support this company. If you want a company that advertises its products correctly look elsewhere.

Ive tried other lime scented aftershavescolognes through the yearsoldspice lime royall lime clubman lime proraso green and they all smell cheap and synthetic compared to the captain

They are very similar but royalle lyme last about twice as long which is about 30 minutes

And the cat o nine tails scent feels like they have added a pepper based capsicum to its mix
