Pros

We have an older capresso coffeemaker and needed a replacement for the basket that had started to separate. Makes a really good pot of coffee. Not having anxiety of not having coffee or desperation of pouring over hot water over coffee in a towel.

This one fits perfectly.

Cons

This latest incarnation is not a genuine capresso filter as stated in the listing. It is flimsy and poorly made. Shipped from some not capresso company in bridgeport, ct.

Filter is too short to work in our capresso coffee grinder/brewer. There is no dimensional aspect near 5 inches. That flatness allows for coffee grounds to gather underneath the filter.

Stronger plastic mold and the metal strainer is tougher

We use this filter in our capresso coffee maker and it is great and lasts a long time with no need to use paper filters

Fyi the filter failed due to the wire mesh fatiguing and cracking at the bottom of the cone where the wire mesh meets the plastic

The hot water from the first pot of coffee will 34stress relieve34 the slight deformation and it will return to mostly being round

Best not to buy a cheaper one as we tried to do

That’s “only” 1400 pots of coffee or a daily filter cost of slightly less than a penny

The price seems very reasonable for the product

I thought the price was a little high but in the scheme of things its all good
