However, the packaging was a cardboard tube that didn't even cover the entire barbell.

The knurling isn't overly aggressive but will nibble a bit on your hands if you've not yet gotten used to it.

They have rings along the sleeves which i presume are to keep plates from easily sliding about, but the black oxide will get destroyed as you slides plates on and off (which is where it loses s star).

Currently, most bars under $300 dollars that are quality-made are not center knurled.

It could be a little more aggressive for deadlifting but it still works and i plan to get a deadlift bar in the future that has more whip, anyway.

Yes the black finish is slightly wearing off of the sleeves from loading/unloading plates but i knew it would before buying and i don't care about the cosmetics of the sleeves- it's a tool, not a trophy.
