    After placing the sleeping bag inside the compression pouch ) i have been using it indoors recently and it does keep heat in well, but i have not tested it in the cold temperatures listed on the description - more like 66 degrees.

    Much more comfortable than standard sleeping bags, flannel is the way to go in my opinion.

    Since it is flannel, it’s a tad heavier, at about 4 pounds, so minimalists may not like it either.

    It’s a light sleeping bag, so good for texas spring/fall camping weather, but if you need it for cooler temps, its likely won’t be warm enough - so the flannel model would probably be better.

    Just would not recommend using these in colder areas by themselves.
