Canon ink is alcohol water based the generic cartridges and refillkits usually have universal incorrect pigmented ink that will sooner or later render yourprinter useless

The iso 9002 standard inks were not as vivid as the canons the black looked like it had gray in it

The bci3ebk is difficult to locate at my local stores since this is for an older model printer

I chose to purchase this single cartridge versus the 3pack another company was selling because that 3pack was nothing but disaster ink everywhere but inside the cartridges when i received it and not in a canon box

I tried cheaper ink and it was a waste of money and time

Simple documents didnt even printe right and pictures basically were a waste so i was then out on the ink and photo paper
