Cutters are sharp and do not shred the nail but rather cut the nail nicely. Trims nails with ease no breaking or splitting just a nice clean cut. Cane corso cuts through her nails perfectly fine.
Cons
In 5 months there is rust (they are stored in a dry cupboard) and they lock up after every clip. I suspect the cutting jaws were not ground fully to the flat mating scissor surface. It’s not a clean cut.
Clearly missed out of packaging. Wouldn't repurchase. Honestly the 5$ ones at walmart are way better.

I find the bigger ones with the guards are very hard to maneuver and get a proper view of the nails

Just make sure you do know what you’re doing when it comes to cutting your pets nails and remember these have no guards
