Oi saw somebody mention that this acts as a doubleboiler but strictly speaking this is not going to be the case

It may still be fine to just put straight on the burners as has also been said but its not a doubleboiler isnt doublewalled doesnt have any way to store water for boiling inside

Id think itd be a good idea to find some way to suspend it higher than the very bottom of the water pot though because otherwise the heat is just going between the two layers of metal and not strictly using the hotwaters gentler heat

Candlescience recommends against using soap and water for the cleaning of this product just as an fyi
