I tried one of those fake candles last year and it was hard to get the light at the right level.

They turn off and on by timer each evening.

Set them to turn on around 5pm and ran them until 11pm (using the timer on the remote) and they would turn on by themselves without having to reach into the pumpkin and turn it back on.
