Pros

All adapters are included - just connect everything, power it on and choose your os. Comes with an sd card that is already programmed for installing raspbian at initial bootup. First thing is to figure out what base os you want.

Superb low-cost low-power board with built-in wireless. It does a pretty good job of filtering out ads. Built-in wifi connection is quick enough and stable.

Price is fair enough to do some messing around in the pi world. If you are reading this review that means you probably have the patience to set it up yourself. If i have any regrets it’s that i waited this long to buy one of these and set up pi-hole.

Great kit, excellent form factor. Booted right up. Customer service is unparalleled.

Cons

Included mini-hdmi to hdmi adapters were junk, could not get a usable 1080p signal through them. Had to drive to the electronics store and spend $15 for a mini hdmi cable in order to get video output. Main board did not post, i even plugged it into th... Read More

The pi zero does not do well with the gui

I have however been using linux for about 6 years now and am fairly familiar with the terminal

Price is fair enough to do some messing around in the pi world

I buy from canakit all the time i trust them their kits are price reseasonable and their support are excellent

Shipping

So i opted for this kit because id get it a lot faster with prime shipping

All together the price with shipping was about the same price as this kit

And then i realized that shipping was going to be 10

Packaging/appearance

The only thing this leaves out that i needed was the gpio header which you can order and solder on easily if you really need one

The updates needed fresh out of the box took like 2 hours to install

Competitiveness

However i couldnt find a way to install the os without a desktop environment so i ended up reimaging the sd card with raspbian lite
