Ive found that hot soup stored at room temperature in the preheated thermos is still warm after 4 hours but certainly not hot and if stored in a cold environment sure it would not stay warm for that long

This is a cute thermos but if you reconstitute your soup from the average campbells soup it will not all fit in the thermos

In the directions it says to run hot tap water in the thermos for about 5 minutes before you put your soup in to heat it up
