Pros & Cons
Pros
It lights up at night and shows north properly. I do a lot of off-trail hiking in dense brush and under thick canopy, in a high mountain zone that is easy to get lost in. Not good for detailed navigation but perfect for general directional headings.
Tritium is a radioactive material that glows naturally without the need of an external light source. The tritium is also a great improvement over the luminescent ones that always seem too dim when you need them the most. I really wish i had this wrist... Read More
Tritium vial rattles more than usual. Dry card compass does rattle a little.
The tritium is a game changer. Just like the issue piece.
Cons
Small, fragile and a poor value, it differs from $6 watchband compasses only in superior luminescence. The compass dial gets hung up and i have to rock my rist back and forth and tap the crystal to verify it's actually moving. It's too narrow to fit o... Read More
The cammenga is well-built as far as a light-weight plastic goes, but it feels easily breakable. It bends very easily. The metal housing is cheap and flimsy, too. It was scratched in just a couple of days of normal wear.
Highlights
Quality
The body is metal not plastic and has the quality look and feel you would expect from cammenga

Quality seems to be very good wrist strap will fit even a very large man and best of all it is made in the united states
Price
And the price was great in comparison to others looked at
Packaging/appearance
Photos show how it is sewn the stiching could be tighter i admit
Then i removed the paracord and melted off the excess after pulling the knot extremely tight
Competitiveness
Great addition to my luminox watch for tactical field use
First thing this is not designed to replace my milspec cammenga tritium lensatic compass that i own
Then i rethreaded the loop of paracord sheath through the compass
