This calligraphy set is perfect for beginners. He loves this set, loves the way it packs away and has a slot for everything.
The inks are vibrant and with the instructions a beginner would be able to grasp some techniques. The pens write smoothly, which, for me, is the main thing. Each pot has lots of ink and is plenty to last you quite a long time.
Changing the nibs is super easy just pop one out and a new one in. The nibs write pretty well, no scratching on the ones i have tried so far. Pen body seems nicely sized, weighted and crafted.
Pen holder is beautify made in sandalwood red-ish colour. Pen itself is red sandlewood, it comes with a little wooden stand also. It has a nice shape which makes it easy to hold and also helps it look stylish. The pen handle is nicely turned and feels... Read More

Normal run of the mill pens have ink cartridges which i actually prefer myself and therefore less hassle when writing a piece
