Using a funnel is a must. Purchased the filled bag to avoid the hassle to fill. Added this to the bench.

Perfect fit the range and sighting in new optics. Extremely useful for zeroing iron, red-dot, and holographic sights. Great for ars and pistols.

Holds the firearm steady and where you need it. Keeps my rifle from not moving or swaying. Has the convenience of a carry strap.

Seems as though the fill used by caldwell is a corn cob media, similar to what is used for polishing brass (for reloading) it permanently sets low on one side which causes your rifle to move sideways on recoil!

If youre using a rear bag in conjunction with the tack driver rest cut a 1 foot length of 2x6 for lifting the bag up a bit

Overall its a good quality easily carried quite stable rest

I have several caldwell products and they are somewhat hit and miss on construction quality mostly the sewing quality in the seams

Paired with the deadshot rear bag and will never use a rifle rest again
