Swapping in an rk-47 capsule smoothed out the high end and gave it a much more natural sound. When it's up, the sound gets much warmer and deeper.

The range, clarity and warmth of this mic is perfect for vocals. Using cubase 7 64bit / tubepre / scarlett 18x6. I've miked a guitar amp and done some spoken word recordings with great results.

Cons

The hinge and screw are just not up to supporting the 1. The screw is embedded in the socket, so the thumbscrew can't be removed.

Sure the quality of going to a studio with these microphones is really good but you also pay a good amount of money for the production
