I cant speak on the 8k or 4k but 1080p gsync works great on my asus monitor

Picture quality improved once i switched from the regular hdmi to this cord

Once i replaced it with this 8k cable i was able to get the full 165hz refresh rate without any screen blanking

I had to set my refresh rate back down to 60hz in windows using this old cable

It turned out my old displayport cable could only handle 60hz signals
